Classes for Babies (12-18 months) → 45 minutes long

  • Art Playgroup for Babies!

    Let your child explore art materials in a safe environment! We’ll prepare safe, non-toxic art materials for your toddler to explore, including homemade finger paint, play dough, sensory bottles and much more! This playgroup is perfect for babies who are still exploring with their mouth. Come dressed for a mess!

Toddler Art Classes (18-48 months)

  • Triangles, Squares and Circles, Oh My!

    Young artists will explore shapes, color and strengthen their fine motor skills through a variety of 2-3 dimensional art materials. By focusing on a specific color or theme each session, children will build their skills with drawing, collage, painting and small-scale sculpture.

  • Toddler Art Adventures

    Budding toddler artists will explore paint, crayons, oil pastels, collage materials, air-dry clay and recycled sculpture in this process-oriented art class. Themes for projects include NYC, outer space, animals, opposites and much more. This curriculum is a great introduction to a structured class for young artists and will help strengthen their fine motor skills and ability to represent the world around them.

  • Cosmic Art for Toddlers!

    Toddlers will take to the sky and explore outer space in this NEW art class! We’ll learn about the planets by creating our own clay solar system, pretend we’re astronauts as we build paper mache rocket ships and pretend we’re using the Webb telescope to create galaxy paintings. This class is designed for artists age 2-4.

  • Art Safari for Toddlers

    Toddlers will explore the wild kingdom through animal-inspired art activities. Possible projects include stripes and spots printmaking, bird nest creation, fish prints and more! This class is designed for kids age 2-4.

Pre-School Age Art Classes (3-5 years)

  • All About Me

    Young artists will carefully look at themselves and the world around them through a variety of art activities. Projects will focus around self and family portraits, as well as artists who explore similar themes, such as Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picassos and Andy Warhol. Can also be modified for 5-12 years.

  • Art Around the World

    Young artists will travel around the world on an artistic journey, exploring 2-3 dimensional multi-cultural art activities. We'll visit Ghana to create our own woven kente cloths, India to create henna-inspired art, Canada to create our own Inuit Spirit Animals and much more!

  • Art Safari

    Young artists will explore the wild kingdom through animal-inspired art activities. Possible projects include papier mache dinosaur eggs, stripes and spots printmaking, and shoe rubbing fish creation.

  • Colorful, Creative Cars

    Calling all Lighting McQueen fans! Join us for this fun NEW class, where we'll make our own trains, planes and automobiles. We'll build, sculpt, glue and paint our own modes of transportation in this weekly class, designed for preschool age students.

  • Cosmic Art!

    Kids will take to the sky and explore outer space in this NEW art class! We’ll learn about the planets by creating our own 3D solar system, pretend we’re astronauts as we build paper mache rocket ships and pretend we’re using the Webb telescope to create galaxy paintings.

  • Deep Blue Sea

    We’ll deep dive into the ocean in this NEW class that combines science, art and eco-consciousness. We’ll learn about creatures that live in the sea, artists who have been inspired by the ocean and ways we can help preserve the sea through 2 and 3D art projects.

  • Let's Go on an Adventure

    We'll go on a magical adventure to real and imaginary places! We'll create maps to hidden treasure, design a rocket to travel to Mars, build our own globes and much more!

  • Let’s Look in our Favorite Book

    Young artists will read a different children’s book each session and then complete a related art activity. Books and activities include Leonardo the Terrible Monster creature collages, A Big Bug Surprise insect sculptures, Alexander and the No Good, Very Bad Day printmaking.

  • Let's Print!

    We'll explore all kinds of printmaking methods in this fun and messy class! Think relief printmaking, collagraph stamps and monoprints, which we'll explore on paper, tote bags and t-shirts!

  • Matisse, Monet and me

    Budding Picassos will get inspiration for their artwork by looking at the work of fine artists. Activities include Frida Kahlo-inspired self portraits, Mary Cassat-inspired paintings, Jacob Lawrence-inspired collages and more!
    *can also be modified for 5-12 years.

  • Move Your Body

    Budding artists in this class will use their whole body to make art! We’ll create life-size silhouettes, capturing our bodies in motion, drawings with our feet and other non-traditional projects. This class is perfect for an active artist :)

  • Recycled Art

    Young artists will use a variety of recycled materials to create 2-3 dimensional artwork. Projects include: junk printmaking, recycled robot creation, paper making and city creation.

  • Science & Art

    Budding Picassos and young Einsteins unite! Kids will go on an adventure through the intersecting worlds of science and art in this class. We’ll get messy with homemade chalk, Gyotaku printmaking, fossil creation and much more!

  • Women In Art

    We'll explore female and non-binary artists, past and present, in this new class! Think Elizabeth Catlett-inspired printmaking, Leonora Carrington-inspired mythical creatures, Ursula Von Rydingsvard-inspired wood sculptures and Christa David-inspired collages.

School Age Art Class (5-12 years) → 45-60 minutes long

  • Alexander Calder's Circus!

    Kids will get inspiration from artist Alexander Calder's kinetic circus sculptures and create their own 3D circus!

    Students will:
    - design and create their own circus animals and people
    - build a communal circus stage
    - create posters to promote their circus
    - perform their circus in front of parents and other guests!
    *Can only be offered at schools with ample storage for long term projects.

  • Alfresco Art

    Students will create masterpieces large and small using mainly handmade and natural materials. Outdoor and ephemeral art projects will also be explored in this process-oriented art class. Possible projects include homemade watercolors creation, natural material printmaking and outdoor chalk murals.

  • Art Club

    Our new Art Club will rotate through all of our popular class themes! Perfect for an art loving kid who wants to create, get messy and have fun after-school.

  • Bookmaking

    Kids will explore traditional and non-traditional bookmaking techniques in this hands on class. Projects include accordion books, hand-sewn bookbinding, chimera mix & match books and much more!

  • Build an Artist

    Pick your favorite artist and build them from the ground up! We’ll use traditional paper mache techniques to build a bust of our favorite artists. We’ll build, paper mache, paint and embellish our 3D masterpieces!
    * This class is only available at our Studio and specific schools that have ample storage.

  • Build Your Own Board Game

    Calling all gaming enthusiasts! Kids in our DIY Board Game class will design, build and play their own board games. We'll sketch, paint, collage, print and sculpt all of the elements of our game from start to finish, with each kid going home at the end of the semester with a finished, playable game.

  • Character Drawing Class

    Loving Luigi? Ecstatic about Elsa? Join our new character drawing class! Each week we’ll vote for a different character to draw and then create our own detailed portraits. We’ll explore pencil sketching, colored pencils, oil pastels, markers and watercolor in this portrait-focused class.

  • Contemporary Kids

    Kids will discover the artwork of contemporary artists, including Kehinde Wiley, Takashi Murakami, Orly Genger, Sun Kwak and other visual artists. We'll discuss their methods and materials and then create our own artwork inspired by their creations.

  • Deep Dive Art Class - Sculptures!

    Students in this class will be given two artists who work in 3D to choose from and then vote on one artist to explore for the entire semester. We'll then do a deep dive into the artists' life, artwork and methods via images, videos and more. Each week, we'll work on one part of a long term project exploring this artists' techniques, culminating in an art show at the end of the semester!

  • Draw, Doodle and Pop!

    This unique drawing class will focus on traditional, and non-traditional, drawing techniques, getting inspiration from old masters and contemporary artists such as Jim Dine, Hilma af Klint, Keith Haring and many more. Think Kehinde Wiley-inspired self portraits, Takashi Murakami pattern making and George O’Keefe shell drawings.

  • DIY Dollhouse

    Get ready to build your own dollhouse! We'll carefully design and build our own dollhouses, furniture and accessories using recycled supplies, household items and art materials in this NEW class.
    *Can only be offered at schools with ample storage for long term projects.

  • Jewelry Making

    Budding designers will create their own charms out of Sculpey clay, shrinky dinks and air dry clay. We’ll also make our own beads using air dry clay and paper and combine everything to make our own unique jewelry!

  • Kids and Clay

    Students will explore air-dry clay through a variety of handbuilding techniques, creating their own unique sculptures. Alternative methods for sculpting will also be explored, including recycled assemblages, paper sculptures and much more!

  • Lego Architect Class

    Calling all Lego-enthusiasts! Join us for this fun new class where we’ll sketch blueprints, build our structures using Legos and then create colorful drawings, paintings and more of our structures in their perfect environment!

  • Let's Go on an Adventure

  • Let's Paint!

    Explore a range of classic painting methods in this new class. Each week, we'll delve into a variety of painting mediums, such as watercolors, acrylics, gouache, and more. Ideal for children eager to expand their knowledge of painting.

  • Let's Print!

    We'll explore all kinds of printmaking methods in this fun and messy class! Think relief printmaking, collagraph stamps and monoprints, which we'll explore on paper, tote bags and t-shirts!

  • Make it Small!

    Get your magnifying glasses ready for this new class focused on miniature art! We'll create mini worlds in glass jars inspired by artist Tristan Blondeau, shadow drawings inspired by artist Vincent Bal, mini dreamscapes inspired by artist Basia Wesolowska and much more.

  • Music & Art

    Jazz, rock, folk, classical - just a few of the music genres we’ll explore through art in this *NEW* class! We’ll work on jazz-inspired finger paintings, mark-making to the beat of rock n roll and much more! We’ll also learn about different artists who use music as their muse.

  • Mythical Creatures

    Unicorns, dragons, even Pikachu will be regulars in this whimsical class! We'll create 2 and 3 D creatures, getting inspiration from books, artists and our own imagination.

  • Nature, Art & Play

    We'll create masterpieces large and small using mainly handmade and natural materials. Think homemade watercolors with beets and kale; flower petal stamping and much more!

  • Science & Art

    Budding Picassos and young Einsteins unite! Kids will go on an adventure through the intersecting worlds of science and art in this *NEW* class! We’ll get messy with homemade chalk, Gyotaku printmaking, fossil creation and much more!

  • Storytelling Through Art

    Kids explore the connection between storytelling and visual art in this unique class. We’ll learn about contemporary artists who tell vivid stories in their artwork and explore different mediums and materials to tell our own real and imaginary tales.

  • Sunprints & Selfies

    Calling all aspiring photographers! Join our new DIY Photography class and get a chance to create pinhole cameras, sunprints and explore old-school polaroids.
    * This class is only available during the Spring, Summer and early Fall due to light restrictions!

  • What's on the Menu

    This new class will focus on food-based art projects, with kids creating desserts inspired by Wayne Thiebaud, designing their own food trucks and creating their own placemats to use at home!
