Does your kid love making art, getting messy and exploring their creative side? Get them enrolled in our ART CAMP!
Get a full day of Arts Camp with our combo Camp with Child's Play NY! We're partnering with this amazing program to bring a full day of art camp to our Clinton Hill Studio.
Stoke your creativity, find your funny bone, and exercise your imagination in this special camp program. Mornings will be full of art making with trained teachers at Private Picassos, followed by afternoons of imaginative story-telling, led by professional actors from Child's Play NY. Campers will use themes and art from their morning sessions with Private Picassos, devising their own scenes and stories for a final performance for families at 3:30p on the last day of camp.

Jul 7-10: Creative Creations: Sculptures with clay, paper and recycled wonders
We'll explore a variety of 3D projects, including:
Paper sculptures
Recycled robots
Sculpey magnets & keychains
Inspired by our art, we’ll make original plays that bring our sculptures to life and use them as fantastic props in our improvs and sketches.
Jul 14-17: Girls Who Create: Exploring Women in Art
All week long we'll explore female and non-binary visual artists, creating our own masterpieces inspired by their work, including:
Amy Sherald partner portraits
Orly Genger sculptures
Sun Kwak tape murals
Icons get put on stage as we explore their backstories and breathe life into wondrous women creators. While we build original scenes, we’ll use both our own backgrounds and our favorite artistic influences as a powerful backdrop for material.
Jul 21-24: Art on a Plate: Creative Food Crafted by Hand
All week long, we'll explore our inner foodies and create food-based art, including:
YouTube Cooking Show
DIY Food Trucks
Sculpted Food
Whether it’s a spoofy episode of our favorite cooking show, or a behind the scenes look at a fast-paced restaurant, our theater games bring out the most delicious improvisations and original stories!
July 28-31: Brushes & Masterpieces: Exploring Painting Techniques
We'll explore traditional painting techniques using the following mediums:
Watercolor
Gouache
Acrylic
Students’ paintings provide the set and backdrop for their own new plays that bring their favorite characters to life in unexpected, funny and awesome ways.
Info about Private Picassos’ Art Camp (9am-12pm)
Kids age 5-10 will explore weekly themes, working on individual and collaborative artwork. We'll spend 3 hours drawing, painting, sculpting, building, printing and more!
We’ll have two Art Classes per morning, along with 1 hour of Free Art Time, allowing kids to explore any of our In-Studio Art Projects at their own pace.
Camps are capped at 10 and led by two Private Picassos’ teachers.
Info about Child’s Play NY Theater Programs (12-4pm)
Campers’ imaginations take center stage in Child’s Play NY’s celebrated summer programs. Kids learn theater skills that inspire confidence, build connection, and activate their creativity. Sessions are led by expert teaching artists and culminate in a live show on the last day of camp! Art made at Private Picasso morning sessions becomes inspirational fuel, beautiful backdrops and also practical props!
Camps are capped at 10 and led by two Child’s Play NY teachers.

Campers should come dressed for a mess with a water bottle, 2 nut-free snacks and one bagged lunch.

*Child’s Play NY studio for July is at Greene Moments, a 1 block walk from Private Picassos
