Current Opportunities

After-School Art Instructor for Kids’ Art Classes

Locations - we are hiring for the following locations

  • Brooklyn & Manhattan

Private Picassos is looking for a part time art instructor to lead art classes for kids age 4- 12 years. Availability at least two weekdays after-school is a must. Classes take place in schools and client’s homes throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Travel to and from sites is a large part of this position. 

Payment is made on a per-class basis, every two weeks, which includes prep/class time and meetings.

Responsibilities include:

  • set-up, clean-up, prep and implementation of prepared fine-arts curriculum

  • organization of supplies and materials

  • correspondence with parents regarding lessons, progress reports, special events, etc.

  • curriculum development, with assistance of PP Founder

Qualifications:

Required

  • experience teaching art to children between the age of 5-10

Preferred

  • pursuit or possession of bachelors or master's degree in art education

  • availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays for after-school classes

Pay:

Pay is per class or event and ranges between $50-$150 depending on the class length, number of students, etc.

Weekend Birthday Party Assistant

Locations - we are hiring for the following locations

  • our Clinton Hill Art Studio

  • our Park Slope Art Studio

  • our parties held at 390 Social

Private Picassos is looking for a part time Birthday Party Assistant for our weekend parties. This assistant with work primarily with our Party Coordinator, assisting parties and special events at both of our Art Studios (in Clinton Hill and Park Slope Brooklyn) along with parties at the special event space 390 Social in Park Slope.

Payment is made on a per-party basis, every two weeks.

Responsibilities include:

  • assisting with prep for each party, including art supplies, party decorations, food and beverages

  • assisting during the event for our art class portion of the party

  • assisting with clean up after the event

Qualifications:

Required

  • experience working with children between the age of 5-12

  • availability Saturdays and Sundays

Preferred

  • pursuit or possession of bachelors or master's degree in art education

Pay:

Pay is per party or event and ranges between $60-$150 depending on the party length, number of students, etc.

Studio Art Teacher

Locations - we are hiring for the following locations

  • our Clinton Hill Art Studio

  • our Park Slope Art Studio

Private Picassos is looking for a part time Art Teacher to work at both of our Art Studios during Art Making hours.

Payment is made on an hourly basis, every two weeks.

Responsibilities include:

  • greeting customers as they enter our Studios

  • guiding customers to pick their preferred Art Project

  • handing out supplies for each project and offering any guidance as needed

  • replenishing art supplies

  • ringing customers up via Square POS

  • answering phone calls and emails with general Studio questions

  • prepping supplies for upcoming events

Qualifications:

Required

  • experience working with children between the age of 5-10

  • availability Friday afternoons 2-5pm

Preferred

  • pursuit or possession of bachelors or master's degree in art education

  • experience working with children between the age of 2-5

  • availability Saturdays and/or Sundays

Pay:

Pay is hourly, between $16-$18 depending on experience.
