Themes for projects include NYC, outer space, animals, opposites and much more. This curriculum is a great introduction to a structured class for young artists and will help strengthen their fine motor skills and ability to represent the world around them.

FAMILY ART CLASS @ BUTTERMILK BAKESHOP

Explore watercolor painting, sip on a coffee or tea and enjoy a view of the Brooklyn skyline at our Private Picassos x Buttermilk Bakeshop Art Class!

Learn basic watercolor techniques from a trained Art Educator, followed by plenty of time to explore the materials with your family. You'll learn:

  • how to prepare your paper and materials for painting

  • dry brush technique

  • wet into wet technique

  • how to mix and layer colors

We'll use the Brooklyn skyline for inspiration for our paintings - but each student can go with the flow and decide their own subject matter. No blindly copying the teacher in this laid back, but educational class.

Tickets include all art supplies for one adult & one child to use during class, one coffee or tea and two sweet treats from the bakery (choose from a cookie, bar, cupcake or cake pop).

Friday July 18th 5-6pm; Friday August 15th 5-6pm

For kids age 5 & up with an adult

$75/class for one adult and one child, including all art supplies, one drink and two baked goods
